Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before booking or attending any scan with DEXA London. By booking a scan, you confirm that you understand and agree to these Terms.

3Beam LTD is CQC-registered to provide diagnostic and screening services.

Services Provided
We provide two types of DEXA scan services:
2.1 DEXA BONE DENSITY (OSTEOPOROSIS) SCAN
- A regulated medical diagnostic scan using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry
- Clinically reported by GMC-registered Consultant Rheumatologists via Medica Group plc
- Provides T-scores, Z-scores, and clinical interpretation
2.2 DEXA BODY COMPOSITION SCAN
- A body-composition assessment for personal insight, performance and weight-management monitoring
- NOT clinically reported by a doctor
- No diagnosis or treatment recommendations are provided
We do not provide treatment, prescriptions, or ongoing disease management.

Bookings, Payments and Contract Formation
3.1 Bookings must be made online or via our administrative team.
3.2 Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
3.3 A legally binding contract exists once we send written confirmation of your appointment.
3.4 You are responsible for ensuring we have the correct contact details to deliver your appointment information and results.

Patient Information Accuracy & Screening Requirements
You agree that:
- All information you provide during booking, pre-screening or on referral forms must be complete and accurate, including:
▸ Pregnancy status
▸ Implanted metal / prostheses
▸ Recent imaging involving radiation or contrast
▸ Steroid use, bone-affecting medication, cancer history
▸ Eating disorders (for body composition scans) - You understand that our ability to justify and legally perform a scan under IR(ME)R depends on the accuracy of the information you provide.
- We reserve the right to refuse, delay or cancel a scan if your information is incomplete, inaccurate, or indicates that the scan is clinically inappropriate.
- If a scan is refused due to withheld or inaccurate information, you may still be charged the full scan fee.
- You accept that withholding information may compromise safety and diagnostic validity, and we accept no liability arising from misinformation provided by you.
- Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds
5.1 You may cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the booking time.
5.2 Late cancellation, late arrival (>10 minutes), or non-attendance will be charged at full rate.
5.3 If we must cancel (e.g., equipment, staffing, regulatory reasons), we will offer either:
▸ A new appointment or
▸ A full refund
We are not liable for travel/accommodation or other indirect costs.

Eligibility and Safety Requirements
You must not attend if you are or may be pregnant.
The scan may be refused if you:
- Cannot lie flat, still, or comply with safety instructions
- Have had recent conflicting imaging
- Provide information suggesting higher clinical risk

Clinical Reporting and Follow-Up
7.1 Bone Density Scans
- Reported by GMC Consultant Rheumatologists via Medica Group plc
- Your report will contain interpretation and follow-up guidance
- We do not provide treatment, prescriptions, or ongoing management
You are responsible for discussing findings with your GP or specialist.
7.2 Body Composition Scans
- Results delivered in clear patient-friendly format
- Not a doctor-issued clinical report
- Not intended to diagnose disease or replace medical consultation

Results and Limitations
8.1 Results represent a snapshot in time and do not predict future disease.
8.2 No scan can detect all conditions.
8.3 We are not responsible for clinical decisions you make without proper medical advice.

Liability
9.1 Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9.2 Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the cost of the scan purchased.
9.3 We are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Personal decisions based on the scan results
- Costs relating to missed work, travel or delay
Your consumer rights remain unaffected.

Data Protection
We process personal and health data under UK GDPR.
By booking, you consent to:
- Secure storage of your data
- Transmission of images and clinical details to Medica Group plc (bone scans only)
- Optional anonymised use for quality and research purposes

Intellectual Property
All content, scan reports, branding and documents remain the property of 3Beam Ltd.
You may not copy, distribute or reuse them without written permission.

Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms.
The version in force at the time of booking applies to your appointment.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
Any disputes shall be heard exclusively in the courts of England & Wales.
